Plot – Spoilers:
An insecure writer is accused of being a sponge by his wife – that he’s a scavenger of human sorrow for his books. He partners with his daughter at home to form a team against jealous mom, though his intentions are a bit unclear, considering he doesn’t mind hovering outside the teenager’s room, watching her get dressed. Meanwhile, there’s another teenage girl who might be a character he created, who lives a Carrie-type existence at home with a mother that thinks pretty girls who get laid/raped are the ones deserving of blame. The writer’s life is initially black n’ white and gradually fades into color as the fictional starts to seep into it. Then an obsessed fan forces herself onto him. The timing couldn’t be better – his daughter has gone back to school and the wife doesn’t let him sleep in her room anymore.
