Plot – Spoilers:
I am so deeply unhappy, the only thing that can make me even remotely smile is if I can somehow fuck up another person’s happiness. Or wipe the smile off their face as Cesar, the concierge of an apartment in Barcelona, puts it.

There are those who are unhappy and sleepless well into the wee hours and who might seek solace in radio shows they can call into and share their hopelessness with. But Cesar is nextlevel unhappy and is stable only when his target is miserable. On days when he is unsuccessful at spreading joylessness, he feels suicidal. His bedridden mother serves as his confessor, though he isn’t seeking any absolution from her. On the contrary, confiding in her might be his way of tormenting her remaining waking hours.

A polished Spanish gem. Door Lock is its Korean version, that is quite different in theme.
