About – Spoilers:
The Sadness begins like all promising violent movies. A couple indulges in idle pillow chat and even experiences a little heartache because they won’t be seeing each other for the next few hours while one leaves for work. Basically, the opening is deliberately so full of shit, you can’t wait for it to all get torn apart.
Obviously COVID-inspired, there’s a flu-like virus going around Taiwan that’s ignored by most until a mutation turns people ultra-violent and unlike other flesh cravers we might have seen before. Here, they are horny too, leading to their darkest sexual thoughts finding expression finally.
This being a Taiwanese film, I can’t help but think that this is a dig at China for releasing their virus, seeing it was made in 2021, at the height of the pandemic. Good effort though.
Thanks adm! I love this movie
Is this movie based on a real event ? …..lol
“I myself am not what you might call a churchgoer, but I have gone now and then, and have always considered I belonged to the Church and have always had those functions over which the Church presides – marriage, christening, burial, et cetera – carried out in my house by the Church.”
