Plot – Spoilers:
Twins Lukas and Elias live in a secluded house with their mother when they aren’t rambling through the surrounding woods and caves. Mother is a bit strange and insists on walking around with a heavily bandaged face. She also refuses to acknowledge the presence of Lukas and only engages with Elias. The twins aren’t spooked by her though. They believe this lady claiming to be their mother is an impostor.
Spooky twins are an antidote for the yuletide spirit.

After their US debut THE LODGE both directors returned to Austria and made the unbelievable bleak THE DEVILS BATH wich released end of june this year. You should take a look for that one.
Very fun horror movie that doesn’t pretend to be anything it isn’t.

i wanted to like this, but as usual this german movie is plain bad and boring. like funny games was or those craptastic crocodiles movies, or the massively overrated das boot,
man the leftists in the comments are out of control, they feel tough behind their computer but where were they during the capitol hills patriotic dust-up, or charlottesville riot of 2017? pussies.
Decent! The acting is good but the plot is predictable, fell asleep two times watching this movie, kind of boring, but maybe that’s because it’s not really my thing. Someone would probably enjoy this way more than me
Austria got much gems that you should seek out. The movies by Ulrich Seidl for example. After GOOD NIGHT MOMMY the directors Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz got the call from Hollywood and they did THE LODGE. I liked it but it wasn´t quite as good as their debut.

I was waiting for this to appear. I did manage to find it online with subtitles before, but it was a hard find, took me about, mmm, 5 minutes to find instead of the usual thirty seconds!!!

What an absolutely brilliant film! love it. I laughed. I cried. I WTF’d. Not really by the masks did indeed crack me up. See, you really need to get out of America to see any originality in the movies anymore. Here, Hollywood is too busy trying to shove political correctness down our throats by remaking the same movies and comic book characters over and over and over….Now with a black, female James Bond. Yeah… riiiiight. Can’t wait to see that one – NOT. This is why no one goes to the movies any more. I’ll be goddamned if I’m going to spend $50 between the wifey-poo and I to see the 5th remake of lame-ass Spiderman. Fuck Hollywood and all the repugnant Leftist scum there. I wish they’d all slowly starve to death and become rat bait. Now that, I’d pay $50 for the wifey-poo and I to watch!
