Against images of gore, The Gateway Meat starts with a misspelling of the word, ‘coastal’, which in a way lets us know where the filmmakers priorities really lie.
An old man has just died and his son feels the pressure to live up to his deeds. Which are mostly gruesomely murdering people and opening a portal into hell or somewhere. His whole family are also satanists, though there really isn’t much about that or the occult for that matter, apart from Jesus jokes, a pentagram and a few defiled pictures.
The Gateway Meat is a b-movie with nice practical gore. But what separates it from most of the rest is the inclusion of a really small girl into the splatter (director Ron DeCaro’s irl daughter). After a trip to the park that attempts to paint the family as some George Bush-loving, regular American folk, the girl walks into a bathroom littered with corpses and proceeds to snarl, Fuck you bitch, before tasting some of the blood-splattered wall. And the movie takes off from there.
The most disturbing thing is the fact that there’s a child involved. And, to be sincere, is the only aspect that i like.

Watched it, because of all the hype this movie gets recently. Can’t understand the hype whatsoever. No plot, lame af characters and the gory scenes were maybe shocking in 2008 but will today just make you yawn, we’ve seen it all before. The fact that the whole movie was apperantly filmed with a Motorola Razr phone doesn’t help either…
A bunch of death grind redneck junkies hang out, kill people, argue, fight each other, and kill more people. Raw, gory, and mildly fun I guess.
What is the most demented in this whole movie is that the “filmmakers” (if you can call them that) actually had a toddler girl with deplorable lines, licking blood. Zero ethical boundaries. Is there anyone out there that has actually talent for story telling AND practical effects for a full gorefest experience?!! And when you THINK its a good idea to put a FN toddler in your film THINK AGAIN!! IDIOTS. Any recommendations??
this movie is Really GORYYYYYY & Brutally and the family do Occult Stuff and this film is So Effed up and this is for people that are into gore
The Gore in this movie was really impressive and the messed things these satanists do to their victims and this sick shit is worth and it’s very realistic & brutal for a low budget movie, this is definitely Effed up & i love the gore in this movie gateway meat 2008

Kinda AUnderground in spirit but waaaaayy bloodier.. in fact the effects where prob the best seen in a srt film since say serialkilller666 which disturbed me to say the least

Jon W has put a call out for help to re-sync subs for a film called Seytan, 1974. An Italian remake of Exorcist. Its a laborious job in reality but the film might be fun.
Sure the acting is woeful as fuck WHO CARES the gore & sick shit is worth the price of admission alone, & its very realistic & brutal for such a low budget movie, The brutality, Sickness & kills are savage as fuck, if you can ignore the less than oscar worthy performances acting wise & you dig blood & brutality, Personally i thought it was geat, Think of if the added a narrative or plot to august underground with more & better gore FX & you’ll have it. A Welcome return to form after the discussion on the last film EUM, Its definitely Effed up & one for the gorehounds.
