Plot – Spoilers:
The Harrington family are driving to Grandma’s for Christmas through a forest stretch cuz Dad thought avoiding the interstate would be a great idea to help him not doze off. In the car are Mom, daughter Marion, her boyfriend Brad and brother Richard.

The family are regular and dysfunctional with the brother-in-laws contemptuous of each other. With everyone in the car dozing, Dad joins them in nodding off until the screeching headlights of an oncoming car wake him. The car’s fine and nobody’s hurt so the bunch resume their journey until they see a woman with a baby standing by the road. Feeling obliged to help, they make room for her and decide to take her to the nearest police station as she seems in shock and is unresponsive to their questions. Soon, the horror begins…

Favorite Scenes:
Richard awkwardly rocking out until he is seduced by the Lady in White and has his lower lip chewed off. You almost regret his exit, this early on into the movie.

As a teen, I used to watch this late at night when it came on Starz!. It became my first favorite horror movie. That was 20 years ago, and it still holds a place in my effed up system. Thanks for including it.

This felt like a 90s tv movie and is a horror comedy at that. While not my favorite movie genre, it is the dialogue and bickering between family members that raises it above its formulaic formula. A cheesy but entertaining (but minimal gore) 3.5/5 wrong turns

Ugly, Bourgeoisie, Soccer Mom Laura has the first orgasm of her life by stimulating some erogenous zone she discovers in a bloody hole in the back of her head but it’s not a dark comedy? Enjoyable, campy, fun.

This Is the edited version – for example, we only briefly see Brad and Richard after they’re killed, instead of the full gory details; the original shows much more gore and surreal scenes. Watch the original before making a decision.

Leland Palmer! IYKYK. Favorite line – “you handle that wrench like a whore handles a baby.” Very good dark comedy (clearly doesn’t take itself seriously).

I really like this movie. It’s almost more dark humor than horror. The way the family members bicker with each other made me chuckle. Ray Wise is so good at acting crazy lol.

Rather enjoyable bad movie. People doing dumb things no normal human would do in the same situation. There are plenty of cheesy laughs with the dialogue. There were also a couple of times I almost checked out, but something kept me there. The acting is comically over the top. A lot of moments felt like a 60s twilight zone episode. Alexandra Holden is fun to watch. That was one of Rosses girlfriends on Friends! So…Eh, yea…anyway, sort of an entertaining twist ending. Worth a watch when your bored and expectations are in check. Cheers!
