Plot – Spoilers:
The first in the series that was so bad, the Producer Satoru Ogura (also Director of this one) had to show ‘making of’ footage to prove it wasn’t a real snuff movie.
Guinea Pig 1 involves a young woman being tormented and tortured over several days by three men in a dark room, as well as outdoors. The torture here doesn’t just rely on gore but is well thought out, like the group of men were true sadists who wanted their victim to experience pure suffering and misery.
The victim is submissive and appears aware, exhausted and reconciled to her fate because she doesn’t shriek or scream for the most part, but sits through a lot of it merely whimpering.
The 40+ minute long ordeal is divided into chapters which are helpfully titled Hit, Kick, Needle, Claw, Burn, Worm etc so you can be prepared for what’s coming up next for her.
Not to exaggerate, but even seasoned watchers of extreme cinema will feel the sadism off their screens with this one.
halfway in and i do enjoy this movie from an artistic and visual standpoint (genuinely) — but omfg can the lady stop moaning every 3 seconds??? ive had to mute the fuckin movie at certain points because of how forced and obnoxious it is. 😒
This is a bit slow and boring. With some brutal moments in the last 10 to 15 minutes, and really good acting from the men torturing her and really good make-up/fake blood too, overall, it felt more like a fetish movie than an actual horror movie. This is disturbing, creepy and hard to watch, for people that are not faint hearted, but considering I have watched movies like Saw, where the actors show their reactions to pain a lot more realistically, I really felt like it faultered due to this actress. Though, whenever she did give genuine screams of terror through torture or pain, besides the moaning she mostly did throughout the movie, it hooked me in. You wouldn’t think this would start a new franchise, but it did. Though I will say, for it’s student film and dark web feel, it’s a good example of what you can do, horror wise, with a very low budget and one location.
the only good scene was the eye scene everything else: BOOOO!!!!!!
you’d think they’d hire an actress with a nice scream for a pseudo snuff film, at the very least. how’d they manage to fumble even the basics is beyond me
boring ass movie, she should be screaming in agony not moaning
She didnt even seem like she was in pain or anything. Its only half fun when they dont scream in agony
What did i js watch🫶🏻..
The movie you watch as a teenager when you search for distrubing movies online, that will look like kind of a boring slog once you’ve seen some more but hasn’t lost its forbidden dark net-tone.
Strong 5/10
Such a shit show man
i expected soo much better from the first entry of this series after the hype i’ve seen some of the other films get
meh, overrated. the only scene that i actually found “artistic” or whatever was the one where she was hanging on that tree thingy, that was interesting.
bruh what🤣 bro literally threw guts at her for no reason lmao
Wtf is this? A school project? 😂
Boring
I heard about this film A LOT, and I’m disappointed af
claramente é falso, mas me deixou enjoado, filme perturbador hahaha
pretty boring
My friend thinks thi film is hot
I liked it when the men threw the meat at the lady and it went “gloop”.
Worms were kind of cute but otherwise a boring movie. Looking at the screen felt like a chore.
this movie is actually so bad and so annoying. it doesnt even look remotely real nor is it good at all. theres like no backstory or any plot and its obvious they did it just because they wanted to show a woman getting tortured which like okay yas! but at the same time you have to make it interesting or its actually insufferable to watch. it just seems like they tried too hard to make it seem shocking and disturbing when they could have done that in so many different ways than these dumb ass ways. sorry i sound mad im just upset that this movie is so trash when it could have been so much better. its such a try hard movie and gives the guinea pig series an awful rep!
I’m gonna be honest, I’m not a movie critic, sure I’m into underrated weird and horrendous movies and all I can say is I like this movie. I’ve been watching Lucifer Valentine’s films and they’re just straight up extreme Gore and try hard shit that doesn’t even makes sense, always boobs out, Gore and guts everywhere.
This one is different, the many different ways of torture and not over excessive edgy scenes, I just like it, I think most people were expecting kinda like an hostel torture type of movie but meh I like this more. How someone can break other people emotionally and mentally, not only physically. Like damn I loved that but just one thing I hate is how long the scenes are in some parts, but the rest is fine for me. Not the best movie tho because it has many fleas but definitely at least something different from this type of horror
Then they wonder why Japans kids are so effed up and treat woman like this like that very popular case of 40 nights of that girl funko. So sad.

I believe this movie was used as a tutorial by american troops in Abu Ghriab, Iraq.
Typing with my left hand… Im righthanded
i thought this would be hella gore but—
I expected more.
boring
I was keen to watch this first entry in the Guinea series… but alas disappointment is all I found.
The torture scenes are boring and the acting / performances are completely flat.
I shall continue my journey onto Guinea 2.
The worst this movie made me feel is motion sick, damn.
bruh this sucks
I mean, I had fun watching it but it’s not as bad as randos on the internet make it out to be. The fact that it’s clearly simulated and all that made it not so shocking but if you’re squeamish, I’m sure something in there will make you grossed out. Don’t let all the mystery and rumor around it get you too excited. At this rate, the violence is pretty run of the mill for most horror films.
is this those reasons to be vegan documentary ?
Pentru anul 1985 este procedat in regula…am vazut filme mult mai proaste din punct de vedere al efectelor chiar si dupa 1985.Am punctat doar ideea in sine.adica de tortura in mare parte si nu neaparat expresiile actritei.
Absolutely ridiculous.
this is boring and a waste of time for those with werid fetish people out there, personlly i like a good gore like all hallows eve but these kind of gore i hate it, it can mess up a person who is mentally disturb.
I’m not sure how I’ve made it to age 50 (almost) after a lifelong love affair with exploitation, art cinema, trash, gore, etc and not seen the GP films – and I will watch them all – but this first entry is absolutely garbage. There is a long list of films from yesterday that still hold up today, but this is not one or them. I tempered my excitement going in to this, as I knew it could never live up to the cult status it has attained. Every aspect of this film is fake- ie there is nothing realistic about any of the individual terrors the lady faces. Slapping…come on…every single slap is seen NOT hitting her face, but the slapper’s own hand; kicking…seriously…I’ve seem more realistic kicking at an 8u soccer game. Each point of the story is faced with this same level of phoniness. Had I seen it when it came out (I was 15), MAYBE I would have thought differently, but even then, having seen countless Italo-horror masterpieces, and even some of the American ones (eg Evil Dead etc), this would have likely disappointed me then as well. I hear that the next couple films In the series are better, and for crying out loud…I hope so. There is no way I would recommend anyone watch this. Not because it’s too hard core, but because it lacks ANY core. Lame. ***This is in no way an indictment of the folks on this site. I appreciate finding… Read more »
