Plot – Spoilers:
The third part in the V/H/S trilogy focuses on the lust for fame and escapism from a mundane world. While some characters desire instant viral fame, others just want to step out of the surroundings they find themselves pinned to.
The running narrative here is that of a young couple where the guy is obsessed with recording his girlfriend and anything that he believes will break the internet. So when a cop pursuit enters his neighborhood, he runs out into the streets hoping to capture something viral. Instead he finds himself forced to join the pursuit as strange video calls appear on people’s phones affecting and turning them zombie-like.
The film shorts here include a magician who gets his powers from a cloak that demands human sacrifice, a bunch of skateboarders who encounter a satanic cult in Mexico and one about an inventor who creates a machine that opens up a parallel identical version of himself with one major difference – what’s wrong here is right there.
How dare they desecrate Beethoven’s Chorale/Ode to Joy with this awful film. A flimsy attempt to maintain a coherent story line. Not at all like VHS 1 or 2.
If there’s any worse than this in this franchise I’m done with it lol. The first was not very good, the second was bad and this is terrible.
First VHS is really great but the series only goes downhill with each entry. The newer ones that have a year in the title are unwatchable levels of bad.
Not bad, something was actually interesting
the skateboard one is so fuckin cringee, gay and annoying
seriously fucking lame
bro this was LAme
You know, it’s sad to witness the decline of what was once a great idea. The first one was very well done. The stories were captivating and it was well produced. The second one was… meh. But this one… the third… was totally lame.
i liked the overall story, the shorts were a meh but at least it wasnt zombies like VHS2
