About (Massive Spoilers):
Friedkin’s loose take on serial killer Richard Chase made it to a few festivals and managed a VHS release in Europe before languishing for 5 years after the production company went under. It finally got a re-edited theatrical release in 1992. This original cut is longer and has a different opening and ending (and is VHS-quality). The extra scenes here are mostly related to prosecutor Anthony’s domestic life and his later change of heart regarding the death penalty. There is also a different shot of a courtroom scene where the court stenographer is turned on by Charlie Reece. Oddly, though this is the longer version, it’s missing a scene where Charlie buys a gun before embarking on the first set of killings.

I rampage through a kid’s playground every day, lift ur shirts and drop your pants
Beats me that people want the death penalty but also say that murder is wrong. Can’t have your cake and eat it. It sends a bad signal to the population for the state to say murder is ok under certain conditions (except self defense). There’s a correlation between states that have the death penalty and murder rate. Putting them in jail to protect society and learn to prevent is a much better alternative. I rest my case
OH YESSSSSS!!!! This movie is awesome!!! 5 stars all the way.
