Plot – Massive Spoilers:
Chihiro works in Tokyo and is excited to be marrying her boyfriend soon. But she has elaborate locks in her apartment that she doesn’t forget to use, even when she’s piss drunk. This obsession with staying safe goes back five years, when she was raped by her childhood friend and his buddies in their hometown. She carries the memories as a personal shame, hidden away from all, including mother and boyfriend.
But now one of her rapists has turned up in Tokyo. A lout with no remorse, who swaggers around her place naked, legs spread like he has a canon between them, that he may use on her, at the moment and position of his choosing. He even lands up at her workplace creating a scene that sees her lose her job, while he waits for his buddies to join him, this time for a foursome.
And so she clunks him on his head with a cold 2-liter bottle of water. And stores him in her freezer.
In some ways, cold-storing her rapists may be symbolic of Chihiro’s unwillingness to let go of her trauma when no one seems able to help. Or perhaps, she couldn’t have been bothered to break head on effective ways to dispose of a body.
Genres: Rape-Women, Revenge, Gruesome
The fact that he actually let her out of her apartment to go to work and she didnt call police or alert anyone was frustrating to watch. She had so many opportunities to get away. Still, it was a pretty good watch.
I dont get it, why did she let that guy in and slept with him after he handing out the photos? De fck and then she keeps living with him? What is this NTR shit
Harumi reminds me of Marlène Jobert, who played Love Love (Melancolie Mau) in the film ‘Rider on the Rain’ (1970) along with Charles Bronson.
I loved this film, I rate it 4/5.
The camera work in this film is surprisingly well-done, thoughtful, and often just really stylish. As Hirokawa makes demands on her in Act 1, the camera zooms closely into Chihiro’s face; a visual symbol of the claustrophobia she feels as her world becomes smaller and more fraught. During a tense bathtub battle, we’re given a top-down shot of the struggle, Hirokawa’s naked body writhing over Chihiro’s as they fight to the death in a bathtub full of blood and water. We are given many long, silent shots of Chihiro’s face as she despairs over and ultimately adapts to a series of incredibly difficult situations. Much of the violence happens just or almost off-screen – in one shot, a brutal attack on Chihiro is out-of-focus and relegated to the slightly out-of-frame foreground while the camera slowly zooms into the freezers located on the other side of the room, a reminder of what happens to men who victimize our heroine.
I’m only 20mins in, I will give you my review when I’m done watching. So far, I genuinely like it, I’m a stickler for Japanese pinku eiga erotic films
i shouldn’t have watched this on such a freezing winter night..
wat a lung movee stuped fuk shud hav raepd dat dum bich mor
Shit movie 0/10 no hot rape scenes, dont watch.
this left me cold
It drags and then ends. Plus a bit of dodgy flat to only have a 20amp fuse controlling everything. I just checked mines 60amp. However my biggest problem is people not noticing the gigantic and most likely noisy storage. Kind of distracted my attention too much.
Too fucking long, however…….nice titis.
