Plot – Spoilers:
An aspiring writer Christine can’t land a job and so sits in the ticket booth of a NY porno theater. The patrons mostly leave her alone, but one older man catches her fancy.
The constant moaning from the films being screened and Christine’s own bland relationship with a journalist-boyfriend eventually arouses a newfound interest in pornopgraphy and the mystery of staying in a state of unsatisfied sexual excitement. She soon starts stalking the older man, unsure of what exactly she needs.
This isn’t effed up like most of the films here, but we believe it fits right in because of the time it was made and the controversy it generated for exploring female interest in pornography. It also has a nice throwback to times when people got off to erotic literature in a funny scene where Christine verbalizes an erotic fantasy while her boyfriend hurriedly plays pinball.
Mantap bang
WTF? Man that was weird. What a great film. Christine is odd but very compelling. The detective story type music is excellent. I loved the ending. I almost avoided watching it because the genre said pornography themed. Pornography does have something to do with it if I couldn’t just identify what “it” is. Thumbs up from me. A real head scratcher.
Great movie. A film with class.
Excrutiatingly boring movie. I had convinced myself that something, anything, was going to happen. I was so wrong.
