Plot – Spoilers:
A young Peruvian man, Santiago is in the throes of a crisis and finding it hard to complete his degree in Economics. The crisis comes from a confusion about the social class he belongs to. His father was a famous pop singer who withered away into suicide. In contrast, he grew up with his mother after she left his dad for a more stable and educated man. So while his conditioned drive is to aim for stability and education, his instincts goad him towards wandering.

So as he sits around brooding, his step-sister visits with her husband and insists on accompanying him on a trip to Mancora, where they’d spent a childhood summer together.

Mancora is about tabooed love, even when there isn’t a bond by blood that needs to be breached.
